Dear Friends and Music Lovers,
On Monday, November 7th the City of Ontario will hold a program saluting the POW'S living in our city. This event will also recognize all members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard. There will be a moment of silence for our MIA'S, a Rifle Salute and Taps.
Guests will include the First Methodist Bell Choir, Sergeant Arthur Garcia, LCDR Mike Ernst, members of the JROTC, vocalist Brian Detwiler, and vocalist Marvina Levy.
There will be a reenactment of the FLAG RAISING ON IWO JIMA, and a message from Senator John McCain.
The climax of this salute to veterans will be the actual introduction of five Ontario POW'S. They include: E.C. Rodriguez, Richard Brethen, Robert Faulkner, Earl Phares, and Jack Jordan.
Each of these men will be asked two questions:
1. Describe you captivity
2. What were your survival techniques?
THIS IS A DRAMATIC REVELATION YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS.
This year's Salute to Veterans is a program our entire community will want to savor and enjoy. Please don't miss it.
LUV YA ALL
Your Friendly Band Director, Jack
